5.2 - Planning/ Preparation

5.2 - Be able to prepare a campaign

The first lesson on our planning of the campaign took place and on thaat lesson we focused on key areas to discus about as part of our brainstorm which will help us draw conclusions about our campaign, the message of it, the marketing strategies etc. After all the note taking, we were asked to type up the information and below is a powerpoint presentation which denotes that

After the brainstorming on initial ideas, we had to discuss about possible target audiences in depth. Below is an audio file on our group conversation

After all the brainstorming and discussing about the chosen target audience, we were then asked to create a marketing strategy based on our campaign discussions. Below is the document that I created to represent our campaign strategy

This is a brief list of materials that are absolutely required (basic utilities) for the conducting of our campaign

Once we finished our marketing strategy we then had to create a brainstorm based on the discussions of choosing the main campaign message and a suitable name for our campaign. Below is an image of our brainstorm

This is the quick script that I created for the "ways of measuring the success for our campaign"

Below is an audio file of me discussing the different ways that we can possibly consider for measuring the success of our campaign

Once we had our discussions on a suitable message and a name for our campaign, we had to identify the makor key roles involved in the preparation of the campaign. We indetified the following roles to be vital ones for the campaign

1) Campaign Manager
2) Visuals Editor/ Director
3) Communications Leader
4) Visuals Producer

Below is a document analysing the four roles and responsibilities in depth
The next thing we had to do was draft our individual poems which is going to be drafted into a final one for our campaign promotion video. Here is an audio recording of me recieting the short poem I wrote

Below is the lyrics for the rap (Video) that we decided to go with as a group, as Chelsea and Sajan was in charge of creating the soundtrack, the lyrics have been typed up by them indicating the chorus, versus, beats etc

This is the campaign presentation that I created which is going to be shown in the Year 8 assesmblies, sent to form tutors of all year groups and to be shown in the dining hall, reception, PLC, LMC centres etc

This is the script that I created which is going to be read out in each year group assesmblies. The powerpoint is only going to be shown to the yeasr 8's because we managed to get a full assembley slot, so we would like to show the powerpoint to the Year 8's
The video is also going to be shown in all year group assemblies and in the script below Amar replaced Sajan's role for the year 8 assembley because Sajan was not present due to medical reasons

Below is the first draft of a campagin poster that I created
This is the final draft of the campaign poster that I edited

INFORMATION AND IMAGES FOR THE CAMPAIGN STALL

For the Campaign stall, we decided to put the following things on the display board:

1. Initial snaps for storyboard - showing the rap with images
2. The campaign leaflet
3. The campaign powerpoint presentation
4. couple of posters
5. statistics and facts

Below is the campaign leaflet that I created on Microsoft Publisher which is to be handed out to staff and students during our campaign stall at break time on the 17th Thursday March 2011

This is the risk assessment we created as a group highlighting the key risks that could occur during the conducting of our campaign

FINAL DESIGNS - SOS CAMPAIGN

Reasons for choosing the above designs:
  1. We included the acronym SOS in the logo becasue we wanted people to identify our campaign with ease
  2. The logo was designed by Sajan and he chose to simply say SOS on the logo because that would be effective, instead of having lots of text for a logo
  3. We decided to go with th emaroon colour for the text and the bordering because that colour represents our cranford school and our school uniform (jumper
  4. We wanted the slogan to say "dont be a wasteman" and this is a imperative aiming at people telling them to stop wastage and do something about our environment in the school
